White Raven Down are a hard rock 3 piece from Southend On Sea, Essex who came to our attention in 2016 as a 4 piece and brought killer rock n roll to the masses, forward some time and due to personal reason vocalist Will Taylor decided to leave the band.
The boys dusted themselves off and got down to the serious business of creating new music that propelled them into the limelight and allowed them to gig up and down the country and garner support from new fans alike, this also allowed them to grace the stages with some of the heavyweights of the music industry including Doro, Buckcherry, Diamond Head, Gun & Reef to name but a few, they have also graced the stages of killer festivals such as Wildfire, Custom Rock n Blues & HRH XIII, today the boys release killer new single Stole My Light which I will be reviewing for you today.
Stole My Light – Kicking in the doors from the outset we get a sleazy hard shredding guitar riff that is accompanied by a pounding rhythm section that lets this beast rear its head. The rasping vocals come through and the track bursts into life with a cool flowing bassline that has depth and really lets the groove build and build, we have a solid track that just lets us feel the energy and swagger oozing from the boys as they go about their business and give us a powering thunderous track that has gritty riffs that are wrapped in a sweet meaty bass groove that give this track a real edgy foot stomping beat as we punch the air with joy as the boys hit the ground running and give us real energy zapping lick that captures these boys in all their glory as we stamp our feet and feel the music wash over us and instantly hit the repeat button on this sludgy, dark, melodic beast that has crashed the party.
