Review By Darren McIntyre
Bad Wolves is a hard rock / heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California that formed in 2017 and brought us killer albums Disobey in 2018 & N.A.T.I.O.N. IN 2019, Dear Monsters in 2021 and their latest offering Sacred Kiss EP. The boys dealt with the fallout of the exit of Tom Vext and brought in powerhouse vocalist Daniel ‘ DL’ Laskiewicz who I am sure will not only fill but surpass the void left by Tommy Vext. I last saw these boys last year in Glasgow and they took the roof from the venue, They have been on tour and are off out with rockers Asking Alexandria & The HU all across the USA Before all that kicks off the boys dropped their scintillating opening single Bad Friend from the forthcoming new album Die About It, today they bring us the shuddering follow up in the form of Legends Never Die which I will be bringing you today.
Legends Never Die – A dark heavy-ended lick opens this account as the soulful vocals bring real depth to this blistering beast of a track as it opens and really gives it to us straight. The pounding double bass kicks really let the rhythm section bring the groove as it just allows this awesome arrangement work, The cool bassline is handing us a sweet mellow funk groove that wraps itself around this fantastic track as the boys drop some sampler grooves that merge with killer sampler vocal tones that are just on the money. The heavy pounding melodic track comes armed with epic piano tones that just elevate this exciting number to another level as we really get behind this sludgy, gritty number that lets us know that the boys are coming out the gate swinging and telling us to watch out.
