Blackbird Angels is a concept outfit founded by Tracii Guns(L.A.Guns) & Todd Kerns(Slash, Torque, Heroes & Monsters) who have come together to bring us their debut album SOLSORTE due to drop September 8th.

Tracii tells us that he has wanted to make a record with Todd for 10 years, finally we did it he explains, Adam Hamilton, a multi-instrumentalist who spent time in L.A.Guns, Veins Of Jenna, George Lynch & more completes the lineup behind the kit.

The boys dropped lead single Shut Up( You Know I Love You) back in July and today bring us their follow-up single Coming In Hot which I will be reviewing for you today.

Coming In Hot – Kicking off with a pounding rhythm section that is fast, and furious and brings the heat to this fantastic groove-laden rocker track. The deep funking bassline drops mellow grooves that let this rasping beast tell its own story for sure as the slick clean guitar licks drive this juggernaut down the road as the tempo builds and brings us a cool sound that is really wrapping itself around this killer track. The whole arrangement is a punchy groover that takes us one way then the next as the boys dig deep and give us a gritty foot-stomping beat that just tells us that these boys mean business as they deliver a sludgy, deep, rasping, gritty rock n roll record that will have you reaching for the repeat button.
