Oxymorrons is a rap/rock genre-blending outfit from Queens, New York that uses its musical platform to speak for, and to, the rejected, their message to embrace one’s individuality. The boys deliver their foot-stomping energy fusion bursting new single Look Alive from their soon-be-released new album Melanin Punk. Please sit back as I take us through this blistering groove-laden monster to really take you on a journey.

Look Alive – The track opens with a crunching guitar riff that welcomes the rhythm section to really let this incredible piece of music take us by surprise. The cool sampler grooves are letting the funk element wash over us as the boys get down and dirty with a foot-stomping fuzzy groove that just makes you want to get down and boogie. The rhythm section is a real shot in the arm as it drives forward with a heavy-ended punchy snare drum beat that comes armed with a cool bass kick that lets the track flow and work, we have a deep bassline that is just wrapping itself all over this colossal piece that just puts a smile on your face with it’s intense groove, lyrical tones and funk laden bite that has you reaching for the repeat button.
