The Breath is the creative brainchild of Rioghnach Connolly & Stuart McCallum who tell us it’s all about the music. Connolly writes the only way she knows how to, streams of poetic consciousness that give way to honest, personal, heartfelt that touch on childhood summers, first loves & cultural dislocation. The Breath brings us the opening track Don’t Rush It from their new record Land Of My Own due to drop on October 13th, Please sit back as I walk us through this fantastic new offering.

Don’t Rush It – The track opens with a sweet cool strumming pick that leads into colossal vocals that just stop us in our tracks as this melodic piece really catches us unaware. The cool bass kicks ooze into the arrangement and just give this track a classy groove that really takes us to another place as we let our imagination run wild and feel the emotion flowing through this epic composition. The piano tones let the track tell it’s own story as we drift freely with the soft soulful tones that wash over us in this mesmerising thought-provoking track, heavy basslines let the tone build as the vocals really allow us to float and feel the lyrics take over us.
