The Terraplanes Blues Band: Winners of the emerging blues act of the year at the 2023 UK Blue Federation awards and I can see why. A Bristol-based hard-hitting RnB band, making more than a ripple on the circuit. Last night was their first visit to the Tuesday Night Music Club and a near-capacity audience sat expectantly waiting for their set. There was a slight hiccup when Tom on Drums was delayed on his journey, nevertheless Nick and the band started on time and filled in with some beautifully performed Blues until Tom’s arrival.
There followed two packed sets culled from their EP “Midnight Train” and their Album “Stepping Stones”. I hope they enjoyed their first visit to the club; they certainly looked as though they did and the audience loved them too. A standing ovation ensured an encore which was very well received and Ross Davey on the sound desk ensured that what we heard was as good as it could be: Another superb booking by Richard Dunning.
The Terraplanes Blues Band are; Nick Scrase on guitar and vocals, Eduardo Allen on harmonica, Tom Turner on drums, Craig Shaw on guitar and Peter Tyler on bass.
