Review By Darren McIntyre
Philip Sayce is a Welsh-born-American-Canadian guitarist, singer, songwriter, performer, and producer originally from Aberystwyth, Wales who moved to Toronto, Canada aged 2. Philip has toured and performed with such acts as ZZ Top, and Deep Purple and performed @ Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Guitar Festival in Madison Square Gardens. Philip has given us 9 studio albums and unleashed a new track Oh! That Bitches Brew, his first in 3 years, this comes from his soon-to-be-released new record The Wolves Are Coming. Please sit back as I walk us through this colossal new offering.
Oh! That Bitches Brew – Kicking in the doors from the off comes a power-drenched riff that really delivers from the get-go. The vocals are a real sludgy blues rock vibe that fits this pounding beast to a tee as we get a thundering snare drum beat that brings with it bass kicks and epic cymbal crashes that really give this track some depth. We have a cool foot-stomping beat that just has us punching the air with ease as this slick guitar-laden track hits us with slick, clean licks that just grab you and shake you with all it has, we are taken one way then the next as this rhythm drenched rock n roll piece just kicks in the doors and really socks it to you and then some. We are taking this track in our stride as Philip drives this juggernaut track all the way home.
