Review By Darren McIntyre
Heavy Water is the lockdown project brought to life by Saxon frontman Biff Byford & his son Seb who got together to give us their sophomore album Dreams Of Yesterday due to drop this week. The boys have already given us the title track to wet our appetites and follow that up with another storming track Another Day which I will be reviewing for you today, please sit back and grab yourself a cold one.
Another Day – From the outset, there is a pounding snare drum kick that lets this powering track tell its own story as the boys deliver a foot-stomping kick-ass piece. The furious shredding guitar riffs are in good company as we get a real funk-laden bassline that drops killer grooves all over this real infectious rock n roll beast, the vocals are a real gravelly rasping tone that fit this epic arrangement, and the twin vocals are just awesome as they drive this kick-ass track onwards as they deliver a heavy driven riff laden piece that has you reaching for the repeat button as the track just catches you off guard which is just on the money.
