Review By Darren McIntyre
Poison Heart is an all-American 80’s hard rock/glam band that formed in 2021 and has been working hard on original material. The boys are from Cyprus / Greece and they aim to travel the globe and share their music with audiences, and places and gather new experiences wherever they go. Their goal is to bring the 80’s rock vibe and live the American dream, the band dropped their infectious new single Doctor Love which I will be reviewing for you today.
Doctor Love – The track opens with a slick gritty guitar lick that has a deep pounding bass kick for company as the track comes to life with a bouncing groove. Basslines are wrapping themselves around this 80’s inspired arrangement as the boys dig deep and bring us a cool foot-stomping beat that lets the twin guitar salvo do its thing as we get into the beat with soulful gravelly vocals that let the track develop and bring us a cool shredding, power-driven lick that just brings us a sweet clean solo that is shredding and dropping sweet clean lines as the rhythm section pounds away in the background and let’s this track break free. The whole composition is a throwback to the 80s heyday as we relive big chords with pounding beats that let the vocals wrap themselves around this killer track.
