On a chilly Friday night in December, the vibrant pulse of Bradford’s Nightrain club hosted an eagerly anticipated event—Therapy?, a band whose resonating tunes from ‘Nowhere’ have been a constant on my playlist, reigniting the flames of youth within me.
The venue was bustling, teeming with enthusiasts, marking it as the busiest night I’ve witnessed there. Therapy? stormed onto the stage, immediately connecting with the crowd in a way that was nothing short of extraordinary. The mutual appreciation between the band and the audience was palpable, creating an electric atmosphere charged with anticipation.
Without much fanfare, Therapy? launched into their performance with ‘Stories,’ setting the tone for an unrelenting musical journey. Their set comprised 24 songs, a fusion of new tracks and beloved classics, resulting in an uninterrupted sonic rollercoaster that gripped the entire venue.
Right from the first chord, the audience became a kinetic mass, jumping and diving into an exhilarating mosh pit that mirrored the band’s high-octane energy. The initial set culminated with an explosive rendition of ‘Teethgrinder,’ leaving the crowd ravenous for more.
Unexpectedly, the band re-emerged, led by the announcement from Michael McKeegan (Evil Priest) that they weren’t settling for just one more song but treating the audience to a staggering six encores.
The crescendo peaked with the rapturous chants of ‘Screamanger’ and ‘Nowhere,’ propelling the audience into a frenzy of unadulterated delight.
Therapy? delivered an awe-inspiring performance, masterfully blending their setlist with an impressive mix of tracks, each building upon the fervor of the last. The band’s prowess and stage presence were undeniable, keeping the audience spellbound until the very last note.
