ANOJD are a band & multimedia project based in Goteborg, Sweden with members from Brazil & Sweden. The name comes from a mash-up of the English word annoyed & the Swedish word NOJD(pleased), they are a hardcore/thrash outfit that was formed in 2019 by Hasse & Carlos in Hasse’s living room as an outlet for boredom & malcontent. The boys have been part of Sonder Metal / Mexico, Festival Pinar Rock / Cuba, Slasherfest / Sweden and recently became part of Agencia Mexico, they dropped their melodic new single Not Alone which I will be reviewing for you today.

Not Alone – We get sweet cool acoustic strumming chords that let this soulful ballad-style piece come to life as cool vocals let themselves be heard. The rhythm section is hitting us with snare drum punches that combine bass kicks and killer cymbal crashes that let this track cut loose, we have a deep bassline that just wraps itself around this melodic ballad-style arrangement that really brings the emotion to this sweet cool composition. Harmonica tones flow effortlessly through the track as this sweet toe-tapping groove tells it’s own story, the vocals are a mix of rasping gravelly tones and sweet cool melodic vibes that just let the track deliver a thought-provoking tone that will have you reaching for the repeat button.
