Review By Darren McIntyre
Newmoon is a shoegaze band from Antwerp, Belgium who are known for their dreamy melodies, atmospheric soundscapes & emotive lyrics. With 2 Albums, and a 7″ EP under their belts the boys are about to unleash their stunning new album Temporary Light unto the World on the 22nd of March 2024, to whet our appetites for the arrival of this incredible new piece of music they give us their stunning new single Eternal Fall which I will be reviewing for you today.
Eternal Fall – A cool rhythm section opens the account as the mesmerising intro comes at us with synth tones and a cool solid snare drum beat. The mixture of the multi-guitar layered groove really sets the tone as this thought-provoking arrangement comes to life, the soulful melodic vocals catch your attention as the full-on bassline drops epic meaty grooves that just wrap themselves around this incredible piece of music. The texture is just incredible as we feel the silkiness flow effortlessly through the track as we tap our feet to this haunting melodic track that just instantly whisks us away to another place as we lose ourselves in the musicality that is coming towards us today. This is one of those tracks that just makes you stop, think and then act as the groove just takes hold of you and lets you feel the beat.
