Bad Actress initially (Airrade) is a young energetic hard hitting blues-infused rock band with a dose of 80’s glam, The boys from Forres in Moray formed in 2017 and have already taken the rock fraternity to their hearts. The band have over 70 shows under their belt, and launched the 2019 EP Low Down & Dirty to rave reviews. 2018 they played 23 shows in 12 venues at over 8 locations. Pointing out these boys are an Award Winning Act with Soundwired MHA Battle Of The Band Winners 2018, Opening Act Monsterfest 2018, 3rd Place in Dundee Westfest Battle Of The Bands, 1st Hi Hub Rock Factor 2019, Best Guitar Solo Hi Hub Rock Factor 2019 and best cover Hi Hub Rock Factor 2019. The boys have released Mama Ain’t Talkin, Highspeed Heartache & Red Hot. The boys have gone from strength to strength with numerous support slots and headline shows to date, tonight the boys come at us as part of a triple-header in Audio Glasgow. The place is filling up nicely as the young scallywags take the stage and kick off tonight’s proceedings with –
Poison Snake – From the outset, we get a thundering killer drum section that has a rasping guitar riff that brings the heat as this killer track gathers momentum. Snare drum punches are strong and fill the air with an incredible beat as the bass drum kicks and killer cymbal crashes open the rhythm section to allow this track to grow. Bass lines are littered throughout this rocking beast that has a real dirty gritty groove that has you punching the air and stamping your feet to this crazy rocking monster. Vocals come bellowing towards us and they have a gravelly rasping tone that fits like a glove into this shredding power driven beast of a track and let me tell you this is a sizzling opener from these rockers from North Of The Border, as the boys take the plaudits we stroll straight into
Red Hot – Shredding riffs come hurtling towards us as this powering track explodes before us and let’s us know these boys mean business. Rasping power vocals come through and they have a tinge of Brian Johnson about them which is a stellar company to be associated with. Snare drum punches fill the air as a deep bass drum kick comes at us and is helped along the way with cymbal crashes that open the rhythm section up. Bass lines are coming at us with a cool deep oozing funk groove that just wraps itself around this classy power driven rocker track as we feel the energy ripping from this awesome piece of music Screeching guitar licks are coming at us from all directions as this thundering beast offloads with killer chords that have attitude by the truckload, full on energy driven rock track that has thundering drum beats with a rasping guitar lick that would fit in at any stadium that’s for sure, bass lines to die for and phenomenal power vocals that just have you standing and listening with a huge smile on your face, killer piece of music that has placed these boys amongst the best young talent in the country, we cheer loudly as we rock into –
Out of My Head, – A killer shredding power riff explodes as the rhythm section comes at us with a solid snare drum with attitude as bass drum kicks combine well with cymbal snaps that are just on the money. Bass grooves are dropping powering funk beats that just bind this track together, vocals are a real gritty rasp that just moulds around this gritty rocking monster that has depth and real rocking vibes running through it for sure. Guitar riffs are pouring into the venue as Chick cuts loose and brings a sizzling rasp that is just fantastic and fits with the energy that the boys bring to their set, a change-up brings a deep oozing bass line that takes us all the way home, as we catch a breathe I look around and see all the smiling faces that are loving this opening salvo tonight, we are treated to a new track –
Rocking With You -.Growling guitar riffs break the silence as soaring vocals kick the doors clean off their hinges and let this colossal new track bring it. The track is full of crisp, clean guitar licks that combine with a pounding rhythm section that allows this new number the room to open and soar, there is a deep cool bassline dropping phenomenal grooves all through this fantastic arrangement as the boys unleash a little gem of a track that is getting this crowd going. We are feeling the love from the boys as they deliver a no-nonsense set that just makes you feel good about yourself, we stroll straight into the fantastic
Hot Stuff – The boys come in with a cool gritty rocker track that has depth, attitude and plenty in the tank as the boys bring it. The melodic arrangement is a cool foot stomper as the place comes to life as we get into these 5 young rogues as they drop a funky cool fist pumping rock n roll track that ticks all the boxes, we have solid bass kicks that let this place clap with real vigour as the soaring gritty vocals take charge and work with the sizzling guitar licks that just grab you and give you an almighty shake as we feel the energy pouring from the Glasgow stage tonight as the boys come at us with the fantastic
Dynamite Lover – The rasping beast rips off the plaster as this cool punchy monster comes at us with a solid snare drum beat as the bass kicks let the rhythm come for us. The sweet crisp guitar licks flow effortlessly through this melodic composition as the full-on bassline hits us with solid sweet tones that come and wraps themselves around this swelling audience tonight as we feel the energy oozing from this energetic 5 piece that is just enjoying every minute that they get to share on stage as this fast-paced growling set grabs us and lets us bellow out Dynamite Lover to the amusement of these 5 young renegades.
