The Georgia Thunderbolts are a 5 piece rock n roll juggernaut from Rome, Georgia who originally formed in 2015 when classmates Couzzourt & Perry formed and then brought in Everett. Building their sound and getting themselves out there they delivered their self-titled EP to us in 2020. This allowed them to open for the likes of Black Stone Cherry, The Kentucky Headhunters & Blackberry Smoke, the boys followed up their EP release with their debut album Can We Get A Witness in 2021. The boys brought us singles Gonna Shine & Take It Slow and this is a teaser from their upcoming album due next year. The boys enter 2024 with a bang and hit us with a colossal new single Rise Above It All, so please sit back as I take us on this rollercoaster ride with these boys from Rome, Georgia.

Rise Above It All – Kicking in from the outset is a real sludgy, blues guitar riff that sets the tone for this deep southern groover kicking in the doors as the boys pick up where they left off. There is a colossal bassline that is handing us mellow funk grooves that work well in this foot-stomping bruiser that comes armed with epic soulful vocals that shatter the silence as the boys take us on this journey with them as they deliver a real solid slab of blues rock that instantly catches your attention.

The thundering rhythm section is hitting us with solid snare drum beats that serve up bass kicks and killer cymbal crashes that let this blues monster bare its teeth and hit us with a phenomenal sound that is instantly recognisable. the boys are wetting our whistles for this incoming album due to drop in the fall. We are instantly drawn to this track as it gives us a real dirty groove that leaves us reaching for the repeat button and has us salivating at the impending arrival of this new slab of rock n roll from our brothers from Rome, Georgia.
