Under The Dome, London was transformed into a vibrant sonic landscape as Halflives embarked on their first-ever UK headline tour. The Italian alt-rock trio delivered a powerhouse performance, igniting the stage with a potent blend of raw energy and infectious melodies.
Kicking off the night with the anthemic “Everybody Knows It,” Halflives wasted no time in captivating the audience’s attention. Frontwoman Linda Battilani’s commanding stage presence was matched only by her dynamic vocal range, effortlessly navigating through each song’s emotional terrain.
The setlist was a carefully curated journey through Halflives’ short time as a band, showcasing both fan favorites and new material. Tracks like “Valkyrie” and “Sorry Mom X” resonated with the crowd, their catchy hooks and driving rhythms inciting a wave of enthusiastic sing-alongs.
“EVERYTHING SUCKS!” served as a cathartic release, channelling frustrations into a powerful sonic outburst. The band’s versatility was on full display with the haunting ballad “Jealous.,” which the band had only released as a single just the day prior.
Introducing a new song to their setlist, Halflives proved their ongoing evolution as artists, seamlessly blending it with established hits like “One Bad Day” and “Snake.” The highlight of the night came when Linda ventured into the crowd during “One Bad Day,” creating an intimate connection with fans as she delivered a spine-tingling performance mere inches away.
As the night progressed, Halflives continued to escalate the intensity, delivering electrifying renditions of “Rockstar every day” which lead singer, Linda made sure she got as much crowd interaction as possible by splitting the room in half in a sing-off,” The brooding atmosphere of “Crown” gave way to the infectious energy of “Mayday,” keeping the audience on their toes with each unpredictable twist.
Closing out the main set with the fiery “Burn,” Halflives left the crowd clamouring for more, their insatiable energy refusing to be contained. Returning for an encore, the band unleashed the explosive “Victim” before closing out the night with the infectious groove of “Dynamite,” leaving Under The Dome pulsating with exhilaration.
Halflives’ debut UK headline tour was a triumph in every sense, a testament to their unwavering dedication and undeniable talent. With their electrifying performance at Under The Dome, they solidified their place as a force to be reckoned with in the alternative rock scene, leaving fans eagerly anticipating their next sonic adventure.
