Legendary US southern rock n’ rollers Preacher Stone and genre-straddling UK award-winning singer/songwriter/guitarist Tom Killner saddle up this July for a quick-fire run of shows that will showcase songs from their forthcoming new album releases ‘V’ and ‘Borrowed Time’ respectively which can be pre-ordered direct from the bands now.
Preacher Stone’s affable frontman Ronnie Riddle exclaims, “We’re really looking forward to coming back over, making new friends and seeing good folk from last time. We love Tom’s music so it’s a really good fit and it’ll be a great night for all. The Louisiana Bristol will be cool to play as it’s a sort of coming as my mother’s family are from there originally.” Tom Killner exudes, “Really looking forward to playing places like The Patriot Crumlin and Feathers Inn Lichfield as they are new to us and have heard really great things. It’s super cool to be heading out with Preacher Stone, with us both playing new songs to new people. Get along and we’ll see you there!”
Kicking boots out of North Carolina USA, Preacher Stone’s high-octane, 200 proof, rock-n-roll guitar-driven songs are about the common man with heart-wrenching smoky bar frequenting tales, and the swagger of their live performances have earned them a legion of faithful fans known as “The Congregation”. Alongside Ronnie and founding member Marty Hill (lead guitar), the band of brothers are steeped in musical heritage with Ben Robinson (guitar), Jim Bolt (bass) and Wyatt (drums). Their song ‘Not Today’ was featured on two seasons of the hit Fox TV series Sons of Anarchy previously sharing stages with household names in Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top.
Blending genres with soulfully infused blues, southern rock, country, and Americana and winning over audiences across the UK and Europe with their highly dynamic show, Tom Killner and the band features the blistering Wes Brook (keys, Hammond), Callum Houghton (bass) and Rich Hunter (drums) who throw down a memorable showcase of guitar slinging, emotional and foot-stomping hell-raising songs. They have been received to critical acclaim garnering stellar reviews with international airplay including BBC Radio and played a number of festivals across the UK to fantastic ovations.
