Leaves Eyes is a symphonic metal band from Ludwigsberg, Germany & Norway originally formed in 2003. The band have given us 8 studio albums, 1 single, 6 EPs, 1 Live album & a DVD, like most bands they have had several personnel changes but they have always kept the music as the main focus and they have succeeded in their quest to bring us a real symphonic experience. March 22nd sees the band drop their colossal new album Myths Of Fate and to honour this new release the band embarks on a UK & European Tour in support of this new release, tonight the band rolls into Glasgow to bring us an evening of symphonic metal with a smattering of growler vocals that will certainly take the roof off of Audio tonight, as the intro music blares from the house PA the band takes to the stage and launches into –

Death Of A King (Intro) – The sound of distant drums ooze into the venue as the band readies itself as Krull lends is dark mysterious growler vocals to the track. Elina comes in with her haunting tones as the track builds with a real symphonic feel as the intro strings echo all around the venus as the band gets ready of take us on a musical journey that will certainly take our breath away, as the tension builds within the audience as they await the gig to burst into the life we get a musical intro that leads us onto the opening track of this epic set in the form of


Chain Of The Golden Horn – The intro music begins before the thundering rhythm section kicks in the doors and lets this musical journey come for us, Elina’s smooth haunting vocals let the track break free before Krull’s dark mysterious vocals let the track tell its own story as the boys really deliver a well-oiled process that gets the crowd moving. The twin guitar riffs are filling the venue as the dark, deep bassline drops cool grooves that combine with the powering backing track that is oozing from the stage tonight. The addition of the growler / unclean vocals really gets the juices flowing for sure as the crowd is going nuts for this powering 6 pieces symphonic unit as they take us on a journey that will just take our breath away, we catch ourselves as we are led into

Hammer Of The Gods – Again the haunting intro music sets the scene as a pounding double bass kick lets this melodic rocker track let the groove wash over us. The smooth silky vocals from Elina really let the guys deliver a thought-provoking track that instantly transports you back in time as the band brings epic harmonies that are filled with cool, dark unclean vocals that instantly catch your attention as this powering unit delivers a foot-stomping tone that just works, the change in tempo just takes us one way then the next as the shredding guitar riffs combine with the thundering double bass kicked rhythm section as the epic soaring vocals just let this killer track take the track to another place, the audience are going nuts for this symphonic assault of the senses as we move onto


Across The Sea – The track begins with a twin vocals assault as Krull & Elina stand front and centre as the track unfolds with a real Celtic feel as the melodic chimes reach us and let the haunting tones grab us. The rhythm section is giving us a pounding snare drum beat as the cymbal crashes rain down on us as we get into the spirit of this epic unit, the boys are sauntering all over the stage as the gig evolves into a full-blown musical journey that just catches you off guard. The mesmerising vocals of Elina Siirala are just incredible as they steer this powering symphonic juggernaut right through the heart of Glasgow tonight, we are feeling the depth of this band as they take us on this epic crusade with them as we dive straight into the phenomenal


Serpents & Dragons – The crowd are clapping along as the powering haunting strong vocals ring out and let this track come for us with devastating effect. The rhythm section is pounding away from the back of the room as the cymbal crashes rain down on us as the twin vocals really let this powering track tell it’s own story for sure, we get the dark, soaring unclean tones as Krull stands tall and menacing on the stage as this foot-stomping melodic number gives it to us straight. Edge Of Steel – As the dark shredding guitar riffs erupt from the stage we have the crowd clapping furiously as the pounding rhythm section comes at us with a snare drum beat that allows the vocal tones to reach us. The boys are in harmony as they shred their way through this haunting beast as the soaring symphonic vocals from Elina reach every last one of us as this thundering monster builds and builds as we get into the meat and bones of this epic unit as they deliver a real thought provoking track that has Krull standing tall and conducting the crowd as they chant along and let the epic rendition do it’s a thing as the melodies tell their own story as this incredible night of symphonic greatness descends upon the good people of Scotland tonight, we are certainly getting the power groove tonight as the band just take us to another place with the intense tones, soaring twin vocals and a real tight musical unit that knows how to deliver, we roll into


Who Wants To Live Forever(New Track) – Elina introduces this new offering as we get a sweet piano intro that leads onto a shredding power-riffed twin assault of slick riffs that give this track depth, attitude and melody. Elina’s soaring power-driven vocals are just tearing this place a new one as we stamp our feet and feel the intensity oozing from the stage tonight this new track tugs at our emotions as the thundering rhythm section hits us with deep soaring grooves that let this monster take us to somewhere new tonight. Dark Love Empress – A gritty dark guitar riff erupts and is joined by the thundering rhythm section as this colossal vocal-laden beast oozes from the stage as the haunting power-driven vocals grab us and let our imagination take over. The slick clean guitar shreds are working in perfect harmony as we get a foot-stomping groove that has depth, attitude and plenty of tone as we are mesmerised by the sheer symphonic harmonies that are coming from the stage tonight. The tempo changes direction as Elina’s impressive soulful tones work well with the backing track as the slick, clean guitar solo echoes all through the venue as we stamp our feet to this infectious monster as we get into the whole affair, up next is fantastic


Sign Of The Dragonheads – There is real intensity attached to this track as Krull comes on stage with a sort of Claymore sword and metal helmet that adds to the atmosphere as this growling beast unfolds. Elina’s soaring power-driven vocals really take us to another place as the Celtic feel delivers a thought-provoking power-driven monster that just lets us feel the musicality pour through Audio tonight. The rhythm section is pounding away from the back of the room as the snare drum beats combine with cymbal crashes that are full of depth, swagger and sheer venom this track is a stand out of the night for me, we are feeling the intense tones, musicality, rhythm taking over us with this epic band as they bring a real assault on our senses tonight as we move onto –


Realm Of Dark Waves(New Track) – The intense rhythm section comes at us with thundering double bass kicks that really set the scene as the melodic grooves take us to the far-off lands and feel the groove. The rasping guitar riffs are working so well with the dark meaty bassline that lets this soaring track open and really tell it’s own story, we are getting powering backing tones that add to the intense feeling oozing from the stage tonight as the band has really settled into it’s groove with real venom as the band just soars with ease as we feel the musicality tell it’s own story from this new offering that continues the story of Leaves Eyes and takes us along for the ride. My Destiny – Elina comes in with mesmerising vocals that let the track build as the intro music comes through before a shredding guitar lick takes the track off to somewhere new. The punchy snare drum beats shatter the night as they drive the rhythm section through the heart of Glasgow tonight and let the boys deliver a growler vocal assault that works so well in this epic arrangement as Krull comes in with a backing tone that compliments Elina’s soaring tones as the crowd chants along with the band as the bassline drops epic funk grooves that combine with a soaring groove that is wrapped in the mesmerising haunting vocals that really deliver something special tonight, we catch our breathe for a second as Elina thanks us for coming out to support this incredible band as they launch into


Swords In Rock – Krull & Elina chat about life on the road and how cool it is to play in front of crowds like Glasgow as the intro music comes through the PA and it has a real Celtic feel as the rhythm section erupts with a deep bass kick that lets Elina come in with soaring melodic tones that let the boys kick in the doors and bring the soaring track to our attention. The musicality is something else as we feel the groove catch us and let these foot-stomping tones grab our attention for sure, the slick twin guitar riffs are ripping through the venue tonight as we feel the intense lyrics tell their own story as these punchy monster builds and builds with real vigour as the band delivers a thought-provoking power drenched beat that is just on the money, we roll into –
Hell To The Heavens – The soaring mesmerising vocals come through as a deep pounding bass kick gets this melodic number off the ground and lets us feel the colossal melodies oozing from this band tonight. The guys are enjoying themselves tonight as their smiles tell their own story as we enjoy the phenomenal story that is unfolding here in Glasgow tonight. The killer riffs are wrapping themselves around the haunting power vocals that are coming at us tonight as we get basslines that are deep, meaty and really full on as this epic track just rises from the ashes and brings in growler tones as Krull wanders the stage and gets us clapping with real intense vigour, we are reaching the business end of the show as we roll into –
Farewell Proud Men – This is a real heart-tugging beast that brings the whole band into play as they dig deep and really come at us with all they have as this soaring \ 0zckiown agenda. The epic vocals are pushing through the venue as this haunting beast opens and brings us melodic tones that are mixed with a cool backing tone that just grabs our attention as this intense groove sweeps through the venue tonight as we really get the story from this killer outfit tonight. Forged By Fire – Cymbal crashes get this thundering beast off the ground as the furious double bass kicks rain down on us as this symphonic monster is unleashed. The killer growler vocals from Krull are wrapping themselves around the epic tones that Elina is bringing to the party as this cool monster unfolds with intense tones and shredding guitar riffs that fill every corner of the venue tonight, the boys are shredding with real swagger as this melodic beast unfolds with real depth as the place lets this band express itself with musical depth that is just incredible, I have been taken in by the sheer grit and determination of this colossal act as they have entertained us with soaring vocals and sheer musical tone that it is just awesome, we reach the last track of the night and it comes like this


Galeids Of The Vaeringjar – The intro music fades in as this epic tale unfolds and brings almost flute-like tones that fill the venue as the colossal Game Of Thrones intro music oozes from the stage. The place is fixed on the stage as Elina and the boys await for the place to erupt with a wall of noise as the track reaches it’s conclusion, the place has just witnessed a real melodic fusion of operatic vocals that leave you speechless and killer growl tone as Krull pushed the boundaries tonight with his own style of vocals that took us to another place as this powering unit delivered a swashbuckling array of sound, vision and intense tones that were just magical as we lost ourselves in the sheer depth of this gig that will be etched in storytelling for a while to come.
