Ian Hunter’s latest album, “Defiance Part 2: Fiction,” to be released on April 19, 2024, is a testament to the talent of the legendary musician. With a stellar lineup of guest artists and a diverse range of musical styles, Hunter delivers a collection of songs that is both captivating and thought-provoking.
The album kicks off with “People,” a track that immediately grabs the listener’s attention with its infectious groove and catchy melodies. Backed by a powerhouse band featuring members of some of rock top bands and sets the tone for what’s to come.
“The 3rd Rail” is a standout track dedicated to guitar virtuoso Jeff Beck. With Beck himself delivering a scorching lead performance, the song is a fiery tribute to one of rock’s greatest icons. Hunter’s piano playing is equally impressive, providing a solid foundation for Beck’s explosive guitar work.
