Review By Darren McIntyre

Madison Galloway is a blues/roots/rock musician hailing from Fergus, Ontario who has certainly been making waves in the Canadian music scene. Madison kicked off her musical journey in 2015 with her debut EP and followed that with her full-length album Moon & Mercury in 2019 which earned accolades as a Blues & Roots Radio International Song Contest Finalist. Madison has released a string of singles including her latest release Hatebirds, this is all leading up to the highly anticipated release of her new album which is due to drop in June 2024. Please sit back as I take us through this fantastic new offering from this fantastic singer/songwriter.

Hatebirds – A cool punchy rocking rhythm section comes at us with a beat that lets Madison ease into the track with her soulful blues rocker vocals that let this track fly. We have a nice floaty guitar lick that allows the groove to build as the funky bassline drops in and wraps itself around this foot-stomping groover track, the composition is simple yet effective as we feel the lyrics come through and really gives this track depth, swagger and bags of sass as Madison rips through the track with ease as the slick cool guitar solo opens and really gives this track something to shout about, this young lady is certainly one to watch as she continually gathers pace with her funky, groove-laden rock n roll tracks that just have you reaching for the repeat button.
