Review By Darren McIntyre

Helldown is a ferocious 4 piece metal outfit from Swansea, Wales originally formed in 2013, the boys gave us their self-titled EP in 2016, The Watchers single in 2019 and this has allowed them to grace the stage with acts such as Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons, Toxic Holocaust, Exhumed, Acid Reign, Triaxis, Malignancy, Gama Bomb & Hellripper. The new single is part of a series of singles the boys plan to release throughout the year with a promise of a debut Album real soon, please ready yourself for this powering beast.

Beneath The Veil – Cymbal snaps flow through the intro as a sluggering guitar riff erupts and gets this monster off the ground as the boys come for us with all guns blazing. The twin guitar assault is just bubbling away as the rhythm section delivers a thundering groove that has pounding double bass kicks that combine with a solid snare drum beat that brings epic cymbal crashes that allow this track to open and soar. The growler style vocals are just awesome as they wrap themselves around this incredible dark melodic composition, the track is a real stop-start affair as the bassline drops epic funk grooves that just give this track depth, attitude and real monster tones. The thundering rhythm section is the backbone of this growling monster as the guys open her up and let her loose as the rasping guitar licks weave their way through this incredible dark, a shredding track that is just crashing in and letting us know that Helldown is back baby.
