Review By Darren McIntyre

Saul Hudson aka Slash is a guitarist who serves as the lead guitarist of rock band Guns n Roses with whom he has had worldwide success since the late 80s. Born In Hampstead, London he moved to Los Angeles, California with his father at age 5, Slash has had incredible success with Guns n Roses, Slash’s Snakepit, Velvet Revolver and more recently with Myles Kennedy in Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators. Slash has carved out a solo career too and gave us Slash way back in 2010 and on the 17th of May Slash unveils his long-awaited follow-up album Orgy Of The Damned, this will feature an array of the world’s finest musicians and from that album comes new single Oh Well featuring Chris Stapelton, please buckle up as I bring you this new track today.

Oh Well – From the outset we get a real crunching guitar riff that brings this awesome track to life as the rhythm section chimes in and brings solid snare drum punches that let the cowbell get us up and running. The foot-stomping groove is just electrifying as it reaches every part of you as Chris lets his gravelly-toned vocals kick in the doors and really shake things up a little, the tempo changes direction and we get a furious shredding riff that is followed by a pounding onslaught from the drums that lets this colossal beast rear it’s head as we punch the air with sheer joy at this epic arrangement as the groove just wraps itself around us as the rasping guitar work erupts and explodes with depth, swagger and sheer quality as this track really takes us to another place with it’s intense melodic tones, epic musicianship and colossal vocals that give it that gravelly, sludgy feel that has us reaching for the repeat button.
