Morgan Dealie Wade aka Morgan Wade is a singer/songwriter/guitarist from Floyd, Virginia who has been active since 2018. Morgan has been setting the country world on fire with her thought-provoking lyrics and soulful vocals that gave us her self-released Puppets With My Heart in 2018, following on from that fantastic album came Reckless in 2021. Morgan stepped into the spotlight with her groundbreaking album Psychopath in 2023 which was hailed by many as one of the best albums of 2023, on the 16th of August Morgan brought us her most personal album to date in the form of Obsessed and from that comes the powering single Time To Love, Time To Kill which I will be reviewing for you today.
Time To Love, Time To Kill – Colossal guitar picks flow effortlessly through the intro as a cool snare drum beat lets the rhythm section get this soulful beauty off the ground. Morgan’s sensational vocals really let this track soar as we get emotion, soul and groove that just catches your attention from the getgo, the cool keys allow the blues effect to wander freely through the track as the musicianship just elevates this country-style ballad track to another level for sure. The crisp, clean guitar work lets this incredible track showcase the soaring vocal tones of this artist as the track instantly puts you at ease as the bassline drops deep grooves that just wrap themselves around this soul-searching arrangement that will have you reaching for the repeat button time and time again.
