Review By Darren McIntyre

SetYourSails are a post hardcore metal band from Koln, Germany who originally formed in 2017. The band have given us albums Enough in 2018, Nightfall in 2022 and follow up these 2 blistering releases with their colossal new offering Bad Blood which drops this Friday 12th April, from that comes opening single Bad Company which I will be reviewing for you today.

Bad Company – Synth tones linger through the opening salvo as a crunching guitar riff erupts and really lets this beast bring noise. The rhythm section comes in with a powering double bass drum beat that is flowing freely through the track as the growling melodic vocals shatter the silence as they let this awesome groove monster do it’s thing. The bassline is dropping heavy, deep grooves all through this foot stomping track as the band really comes together and lets the music wash over us as the rhythm section commands the room with it’s thundering beats and killer grooves. The tempo changes pace for a second as Jules lets her growler vocals smash the groove with her direct soaring tones that really let this track breathe, the insane synth tones coupled with a sizzling guitar lick are just on the money as this fist pumping monster really lets this track leave it’s mark.
