Review By Darren McIntyre
Revenant are a hard rocking 4 piece that takes their influences from the likes of Blackberry Smoke, Lynyard Skynyrd, Guns n Roses through to Metallica. The band hail from Basingstoke, England and were born from the demise of bands. The Voodoo Men & The Dead Jackals, Sam & Matt bumped into and recruited Robin & Carl D and Revenant was born, the boys gave us their debut single Coming Back To Life and followed that with The Masquerade & Rolling On My Back. Today the boys deliver to us their new offering The Healer which I will be reviewing for you today.

The Healer – A cool bluesy vocal rolls in as a nice guirar pick comes at us as this sludgy rocker track erupts into life and lets us feel the groove oozing from this exciting 4 piece. The meaty bassline drops funky grooves that bring in the snare drum punches that come armed with a bass kick that lets this soothing rock n roll track breathe, we get a gravelly vocal tone that just oozes quality as the boys come together and deliver a slick, crisp arrangement that hits us with a cool solo that just drives this blues eruption down the road as the punchy rhythm section commands the room with it’s solid tones. The boys are in sizzling form as this slick groove laden number unfolds and just lets us float off to another place and feel the fuzzy tones come at us.
