Royal Republic are a Garage / Alternative / Hard / Rock n Roll band from Malmo, Sweden who were formed in 2007, the boys have supported the likes of Social Distortion, The Subways, Die Toten Hosen & Blink 182. The boys have given us 5 studio albums to date – We Are The Royal in 2010, Save The Nation in 2012, Royal Republic & The Nose breakers in 2014, Weekend Man in 2016 & Club Majesty in 2019. The boys unleash their new album Love cop slated for release on 7th June 2024 and from that comes new single Wow Wow Wow which follows Ain’t Got Time which I reviewed for you back in April, please settle in as I take us through this fantastic new offering.
Wow Wow Wow – A cool rhythm section brings this foot stomping groover to life as the cowbell lingers through the intro as we ready ourselves for this classic 80’s style rock n roll monster. The gravelly vocals are leading this crunching beast down the road as the boys pick up where they left of with a real boogie beast that brings in a killer brass section that lets this fantastic offering cut loose, the boys have really outdone themselves with this epic arrangement that changes direction midway through the track as a soft mellow vocal tone leads us through the track as we feel the emotion filled lyrics take us on the journey with the boys. The stringed arrangement really adds depth to this fantastic fun filled foot tapping raunchy rock n roll renegade track as the boys pick up where they left off with Ain’t Got Time as we feel the party mood kick into overdrive with this fantastic follow on track from their sizzling new album Love cop.
