Shotgun Mistress are a hard rocking 4 piece band from Melbourne, Australia who originally formed in 2018 and wanted to deliver ear shatteringly good rock n roll far and wide. The boys dropped their self titled debut album on us in June 2021 which gave us singles Bleed Me Out, Glorious Machine, Collide, Save Me from Myself and the colossal rock ballad May She Never Walk Alone.

The boys spent time on the road with the awesome Electric Mary and had many headline and support slots last year. The boys drop their eagerly awaited album Kings Of The Revolution upon us on the 14th June,  I have had the pleasure of reviewing this bad boy way back in January and can tell you there is not one bad track on this colossal slab of rock n roll, the boys bring us their new single Mary Jane(Ft Rusty Brown- Electric Mary) and I have the pleasure of reviewing this monster for you today. The boys are not only an incredible bunch but are friends of mine too so please sit back as I walk us through this beast.

Mary Jane – Glenn comes in with a sweet mellow vocal that is steeped in a real sludgy guitar riff as Rusty comes in with colossal bluesy rocking vocals that let this beast cut loose and come for us. The rhythm section hits us with a solid snare drum beat as the cymbal crashes rain down on us as we feel the groove wrap itself around us and really let this monster deliver an incredible track that has a real foot stomping gritty riff that just allows this awesome arrangement to kick in the doors and give us a rasping fist pumping rock n roll groover that just pops.

Glenn’s vocals are deep with a real gravelly rasp that welcomes a real bonus with Rusty following through with his epic vocals that really lets this track breathe, this is another banger from my buddies from Melbourne that just get better and better with every release. The boys are cranking out colossal rock n roll that is epic earworm and I cannot wait for the world to welcome these epic musicians as they kick in the doors with this absolute masterpiece of a single that will have you reaching for the repeat button for sure.
