Review By Darren McIntyre
Bad Wolves are a hard rock / heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California who formed in 2017 and brought us killer albums Disobey in 2018 & N.A.T.I.O.N. IN 2019, Dear Monsters in 2021 and their latest offering Sacred Kiss EP.The boys dealt with the fallout of the exit of Tom Vext and brought in powerhouse vocalist Daniel ‘ DL’ Laskiewicz who I am sure will not only fill but surpass the void left by Tommy Vext. I last saw these boys last year in Glasgow and they simply took the roof from the venue, they have been on tour and are off out with rockers Bush & Eva Under Fire & P.O.D all across the USA, the boys were out promoting their album Die About It. The boys are back and gave us single Knife (Ft AJ Robello scream vocals) and follow that with another banger in the form of Hungry For Life(Ft Chris Daughtry), please settle in as I walk us through this awesome new track.
Hungry For Life – Sampler tones ripple through the intro as mellow vocals let this track open and bring us a mesmerising insight into this epic new offering. We have a punchy rhythm section that hits us with a cool bass kick that lets the snare drum beats give this track depth and real attitude, the slick guitar licks are wandering freely through this fist pumping, foot stomping rock track as the soaring vocals let this track break free as the crunching riffs build and build as this melodic beast brings us a cool rocking, well presented number that combines the blistering vocals of Daughtry that are wrapped in the soaring tones of Daniel ‘DL’ Laskiewicz. The gritty chords are just flowing freely through this fantastic track as deep basslines drop full on grooves that just allow this track to breathe and take us on the journey.
