Review By Darren McIntyre
Rising rock n roll outfit Crossbone Skully are a new multi – media rock n roll creation from guitarist & musical director for Alice Cooper & Hollywood Vampires Tommy Henriksen. Tommy & guitarist Anna Cara brought the idea to life whilst watching a TV show were they thought that a creation of media, stories and music would be a perfect idea, the band have already given us I Am Wolf, The Boom Went The Boom, I’m Unbreakable and today they drop their catchy rock n roll beast Money, Sex, Or God which I will be reviewing for you today.
Money, Sex, Or God – A crisp guitar riff wanders freely through the intro as cymbal snaps bring the rhythm to this rasping beast as it erupts and comes for us. The vocals are a gravelly rasp that fits this arrangement perfectly as we get a full on bassline that is dropping meaty funk grooves that let this crunching track tell it’s own tale as we get a cool riff flowing effortlessly through the main vein of this foot stomping rock n roller as it builds and builds with a slick crisp solo that just opens and hits us with epic licks that are being kept in tow with a pounding bass kick that rumbles through the track as a snare drum beat works so well with these rasping vocals as they kick in the doors and bring us a sweltering rock track that has depth, swagger and tons of heat as Tommy and the band cut loose and really lean on us with this gutsy monster that just gives us a real warm fuzzy feeling as it takes us on the journey with this rag tag bunch.
