Review By Darren McIntyre
The Oklahoma Kid are a metalcore outfit from Rostock, Germany who came to our attention in 2012, they deliverd their debut album Fortuntellar to us in 2014. The swiftly followed that with Solarray in 2019 and dropped Tangerine Tragic upon in 2022, fast forward to 2024 and with some line up changes under their belt they bring us their thundering new single No Sympathy through Arising Empire, please join me as I crash the party and bring you this epic new offering.
No Sympathy – Erupting like a volcano delivering the harshest blow comes this pounding monster that kicks in the doors and brings us a thundering rhythm section that hits us with a colossal double bass kick that really gives this track some heat. The crunching guitars rip open the doors and give us a real grungy, metal shredding edgy riff that lets the growler vocals bring this epic arrangement to life, we have meaty basslines dropping deep grooves that just mix so well with this foot stomping rock n roll juggernaut as it destroys everything in it’s path as the solid crunching beats just get us all warm and fuzzy as the boys just bring it and then some. This is a real dark, rumbling beast that is unforgiving as it really takes no prisoners with it’s solid base, thundering beats and killer guitar licks that just take us on this shredding power drenched journey that leaves us wanting more.
