Collateral – Just One Of Those Days – Single Review – noblepr

Review By Darren McIntyre

Collateral are a 4 piece rock band from Kent, England who came to our attention in 2018 with the release of their debut EP 4Shots. The boys have gone from strength to strength with accolades such as winning Camden Rocks Festival, Ramblin Man Rising Stage, beating 200,000 entrants to open for Bon Jovi and many support slots along the way on their road to world domination. The boys brought us their debut self- titled album in 2020 and this propelled them into support slots with Jared James Nichols, Phil X & The Drills, H.E.A.T. & Skid Row. The boys release their sophomore album Should’ve Known Better on 24th May and gave us lead single Glass Sky and follow that with a real summer smash Just One Of Those Days which I will be reviewing for you today.

Just One Of Those Days – The track opens with a sweet acoustic strumming as Angelo lets his rock god bring this summertime groover to life. The rhythm section is handing us a solid snare drum beat as bass kicks bring the heavy ended tone that really allows this track the room it needs to spread it’s wings and fly, the bass is handing us a sweet funky full on groove that wraps itself around the slick guitar riffs that are flowing effortlessly through the main vein of this foot stomping rock n roll bruiser as the boys just elevate themselves with a summer smash that has Angelo never sounding better as he steers the good ship Collateral down the road as the boys really open themselves up for a real toe tapping rock classic that has all the ingredients to get this bad boy chartbound.
