Rock the Mote returned for its fifth anniversary with a spectacular show featuring the best pop, rock, and heavy metal tribute bands. Despite a few hiccups, the festival delivered unforgettable performances and left fans eagerly anticipating next year’s event.
Day One: A Rainy Start with a Strong Finish
The festival opened on a rainy Friday night, but the weather didn’t dampen the spirits of those in attendance. The night began with Muse, who delivered an electrifying performance, followed by The Killers, who kept the energy high. Unfortunately, technical issues with Foo Fighters GB’s sound system meant their set had to be canceled, leaving fans a bit disappointed but still excited for the weekend ahead
Day Two: Stellar Surprises and Standout Performances
Saturday began with the news that Dolly Parton’s tribute act couldn’t make it due to travel issues. However, Michael Appleton stepped in as Michael Bublé, delighting the crowd with his smooth vocals and charismatic stage presence. More great music on the Pop Stage, Tesni Jones, channeling Kelly Clarkson, wowed the audience with her powerful voice
The day was filled with impressive sets from bands like Ghost, Pearl Jam, and Alice in Chains, spread across all three stages.
Back to the main stage for what I can only describe as my hit and hunderds of others Rock the Mote 2024 saw a stellar performance from Fleetwood Unchained on the main stage Saturday. Drawing one of the biggest crowds of the day, the tribute band delivered an outstanding set that captured the essence of Fleetwood Mac’s legendary sound. Their authentic renditions of classic hits had the audience enthralled, making Fleetwood Unchained the standout stars of the day for me . This unforgettable performance solidified their reputation as one of the best tribute acts in the UK.
Back to The Pop Stage that truly shone with Ultimate Madnezz, the most authentic tribute to the Nutty Boys. Their lively performance had the crowd dancing and singing along, proving to be a major hit.
Following Ultimate Madnezz, the Elton John tribute act delivered a big hit performance that resonated with fans of all ages. All the hits you would get from a full on Elton John show
The main headliner of the night, The Prodigy, took the main stage and delivered a show-stopping performance that left the crowd buzzing with excitement as they headed back to their tents and hotels.
Rock the Mote 2024 was not just about the incredible tribute bands; it was also about the seamless and spirited hosting by the one and only Pete Mally. Covering all stages with charisma and enthusiasm, Pete ensured the festival ran smoothly and kept the energy high throughout the weekend. His engaging presence and quick wit made transitions between acts effortless and entertaining. A true all-rounder and a genuinely good guy, Pete Mally was the heart and soul of Rock the Mote, contributing significantly to the festival’s success and leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance.
Day Three: High Expectations
As the festival heads into its final day, the anticipation was high. With a lineup promising more incredible tribute acts, fans were eager to see what Rock the Mote 2024 last day had in store. The festival so far as managed to exceed expectations, cementing its status as the UK’s premier tribute festival.
Rock the Mote 2024 day Two was a resounding success, offering fans an array of outstanding performances and unforgettable memories. As the Saturday came to a close, attendees left with smiles on their faces and a longing for the next day
