Song – Every Part of Me
Release Date 14th June 24
Review by Linda McDermott
Welsh rockers The Black Vultures are back with their 3rd single ‘Every Part of Me’, the follow up to their two previous singles ’Treat Me Like an Animal’ and ‘Never Say’, both of which I’d recommend you have a listen too. Having reviewed ‘Never Say’ a few months back, the band are in my ‘ones to watch’ playlist.

With this track The Black Vultures have flown in a slightly different direction but believe that ‘Every Part of Me’ will appeal to listeners looking for catchy and alternate rock music.
The Black Vultures are:
Huw Williams – Singer & Rhythm Guitar
Aled Owen Jones – Lead Guitar
Mitch Casey – Bass & Backing Vocals
Brandon Pritchard – Drums
Taking inspiration from great bands including the likes of The Foo Fighters, Queens of The Stone Age, Kings of Leon, The Cult, The White Stripes, Those Damn Crows, Rival Sons and Velvet Revolver they have produced a great song that has me nodding along to the beat.
Lyrically, the new single ‘Every Part of Me’ focuses on a situation that can be applied to any part of your life, whether it be work, pleasure or a relationship. The band say of the lyrics that, ‘it is clear that things aren’t working out, due to some strong characters sharing the same space and with no clear resolution in sight. Even though one person feels that they have invested heavily, ‘if’ the relationship ends, then all emotional and physical investments will be withdrawn in order to make a clean break, thus the title aptly named ‘Every Part of Me’.
With no sign of an album or EP as yet, The Black Vultures are already back in the studio to record their 4th single, putting in the work to get noticed and gain a fan base, of which I am one.
Lyrics
Every Part of Me
Times on our side were the words you used,
We’ll put it all behind in the bitter end,
Maybe we can make it work or at least we can make a try,
Not hanging around like a dead-end guy.
Two know it all’s who knows the game
Too stubborn to move or walk away,
Existing aside but not living in love,
Maybe it’ll take a little push or even a hard shove.
Talking & shouting is getting us nowhere
Talking & shouting is getting us nowhere
When I leave, I’m taking every part of me,
An empty space is what will be left eventually,
When I leave, I’m taking every part of me,
Don’t depend now, don’t depend.
Remember the good times they weren’t all that bad,
Not sticking around to experience the hate,
Stuck in a rut or am I falling off a cliff,
Not dead in the water but I’m feeling a little stiff.
