Review By Darren McIntyre

Five Finger Death Punch are a heavy / groove / thrash / alt / metal band from Las Vegas, Nevada who formed in 2005. The boys have given us 8 studio albums, 25 top 10 singles with 12 being # 1, since their debut album The Way Of The Fist in 2007 the band have released 7 consecutive albums that have been certified Gold or Platinum by the RIAA. The boys brought us their colossal new album Afterlife last year and today they drop the fantastic new single This Is The Way which I will be reviewing for you today.
This Is The Way – The track comes at us with a smooth funky groove as the tempo erupts with a kick ass bass groove that brings snare drum beats that let this fist pumping groover leave it’s mark. The cool dark bassline is handing us a funk laden tone that just lets this colossal thrash inspired rocker do it’s thing as the boys come together and deliver a slick, crisp foot stomping track that is just giving this arrangement depth, attitude and bags of swagger.
The fantastic vocals let this track blend really well as the silky rapper style lyrics really bring DMX to our attention as he dives straight in and lets his gravelly toned vocals take this track to another place as the pounding rhythm section delivers a dark, meaty beat that brings in the rasping guitar licks that wrap themselves around this gritty groove laden beast.
