Thomas Rhett is back with a blast and he’s making sure you stick around with his new single Gone Country. The lyrical genius of Rhett’s impressive catalog is on top form in this track. Packed with catchy rhyme and quick fire one liners, the song is a joy to listen to. Combined with the chill acoustic melody and easy to vibe with topic, this track will be both a staple holiday road trip track and a great karaoke belter!
Most of us can either directly relate to a time we’ve “ran away” to live a different life for a while, or have a dream to “get lost” somewhere other than our day to day norm. Rhett has captured those feelings and framed them beautifully within the charming tale of a young woman meeting a chap in a bar, and then ending up dropping her city life for a life in the country with “…her boots up on [the] dash”.
It’s the perfect choice for a single; catchy, interesting, funny, a little bit sexy. If the rest of the album is as good as this first taste, we are in for a treat!
The eagerly awaited seventh album ‘About A Woman’, is set to prove Rhett is still on the top of his game and only set to improve after a career spanning over a decade. He’s a country music staple at this point, and most fans of the genre are either regular listeners or can at least appreciate his talents within songwriting and performing.
