Review By Glen Parkes
The Petal Falls latest single, “Will The World Stop Turning, from the album “The Rhythm Train.” Released released on CD Only back in October 2023, this rock gem encapsulates the band’s irresistible blend of rock and pop, showcasing their signature production and sound.
Fronted by the charismatic Keith Leahy on lead vocals, guitar, and keyboards, The Petal Falls deliver a track that is both lyrically poignant and musically captivating. The line “I’ve never been a hero, I’ve always been a clown” sets the tone for a song that is introspective yet universally relatable. Leahy’s vocals are complemented by the impressive guitar work of Robert Harpum and Barry Kitchin, the solid bass lines of Martin Corder, and the dynamic drumming of Robin Tucker. Avril Davis’s backing vocals and Duncan Lowe’s additional keyboard and drum contributions add depth and richness to the overall sound.
“Will The World Stop Turning” stands out with its wonderful verses that seamlessly blend into a magnificent chorus. The song’s structure highlights the band’s ability to create a cohesive and compelling listening experience. The production, mastered by John King, ensures that every element, from the soaring guitars to the intricate drum patterns, is perfectly balanced, allowing the emotional weight of the lyrics to shine through.
“Will The World Stop Turning” is a cool track and The Petal Falls’ enduring talent and their knack for crafting songs that are both musically and emotionally engaging. Be sure to give this track a listen and experience the unique blend of rock and pop that only The Petal Falls can deliver.
