Single – Turn It Up
Released – 26th July 24
Review and additional Photographs by Linda McDermott
A’Priori are a three-piece hard rock band from Blackpool, who formed six years ago. They are known for their distinctive hard rock sound and have just released the second single, ‘Turn It Up’, from their upcoming third album, ‘Voodoo Love’, which is due for release in the autumn. This hard-working band stands out in the crowded rock scene, thanks to their unique twist on the genre, with a sound that hooks you in and keeps you there.
A’Priori are:
Tony Lang – Vocals/Guitar
Mouse – Drums
Mark Wilson – Keyboards
The guys have supported many great rock bands over those six years, including Terrorvision, Massive Wagons, Florence Black and Kris Barras. They have built up a loyal fan base as they tour relentlessly, gathering new followers as they go. They have also played to bigger crowds at festivals such as Call of the Wild, HRH, Firevolt and Rockwich.
Despite being a three-piece, their sound is impressively loud and melodic, a testament to their talent and passion. They have two albums under their belt, ‘House of Cards and ‘Black Church’, both of which are exceptional, and both worthy of a download.
With a great mix of influences coming from the likes of Guns n Roses, Alter Bridge, Royal Blood, Slipknot, Audioslave, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Soundgarden, the band have carved out their own unique sound, with inspiring musical elements that are both creative and original.
The new single, ‘Turn It Up’ epitomises what fans have come to expect, a high-quality track fuelled by their dedication and musicianship. At the heart of their music is Tony’s unique voice, which gives the band part of its signature sound, that along with Mouse and Mark on drums and keyboard creates a rich powerful mix that sets them apart from other bands at the moment, and that’s an advantage in my humble opinion.
This latest release not only showcases their musical talent but also their ability to continually innovate within the hard rock genre. Tony says of the track “This song is a fun straight to the point tune. We all have that one song that you just have to Turn up to 11, this song pays tribute to that feeling”. The band’s passion is evident in every
note, making their music a compelling choice for those seeking a fresh twist in their musical taste.

Lyrics: Turn It Up
Bodies moving to the beat of the drum
Let it drop like an atom bomb
Wrap yourself round a tree
You brought the world to its knees
You’re dancing naked for free
this is a new world
Woah woah
You better turn that noise down Oh no
I’m gonna turn it up loud Woah woah
Does this thing go past ten
God only knows we’re gonna raise the dead
Turn it up
Turn it up
Play it loud
Your favourite song is on the radio
Turn it up Turn it up
Sing it proud
Your favourite song is on the radio
Try to climb on the spider Web
Yeah, you got skills but that don’t mean jack
Nobody cares for that
Where all your numbers at
We’re saying
We’re saying
Woah woah
You better turn that noise down Oh no
I’m gonna turn it up loud Woah woah
Does this thing go past ten
God only knows we’re gonna raise the dead
Turn it up Turn it up
Play it loud
Your favourite song is on the radio
Turn it up Turn it up
Sing it proud
Your favourite song is on the radio
