Krilloan – Atlantean Sword – Single Review

Those with long memories will recall that the very first record I reviewed for Jace Media Music was the Krilloan album ‘Emperor Rising’. It was a phenomenal full debut that contained nine fabulous
Power Metal cuts that blew me away on release and still regularly haunts my music system some two years later.

I was thrilled to see that their next album is due for release in September and when
their first single from the album was released this week I couldn’t wait to hear it.
The song is called ‘Atlantean Sword’ and is all about the sword that Conan The Barbarian wielded in
the original Robert E. Howard books, which still sit proudly on my bookshelf having purchased them
as a boy. So, what about the music you cry.

Well, it’s no surprise that I loved this one straight out of the gate. It’s a fast paced Power Metal banger played by musicians of the highest quality and is everything you would want from the genre. Soaring vocals, screaming guitars, amazing melody and a thunderous back line all combine to have me licking my lips in anticipation for the new album
‘Return Of The Heralds’. So, strap on your battle gear, mount your horse and charge into battle with
sword and shield raised and join me in the cult of Krilloan as we set off to solve the Riddle Of Steel
with one of the finest Power/Speed Metal bands out there. Awesome stuff.
