Review By Darren McIntyre
Trucker Diablo are a hard rock outfit from Northern Ireland who were formed in early 2008 by four friends coming together collectively as a group to play music they loved. This unit has become an unstoppable juggernaut which has so far given us The Devil Rhythm in 2012, Songs Of Iron in 2013, Rise Above The Noise in 2015, Fighting For Everything in 2017, Tail End Of The Hurricane in 2021. The boys have been busy in the studio bringing us their new album Social Hand Grenade due for release October 25th, the boys are preparing to open Steelhouse Festival and to get us in the mood they bring us this absolute banger of a track Kill The Lights which I will be reviewing for you today, strap yourself in and get ready to rock.
Kill The Lights – From the off we get a thundering rhythm beat that hits us like a juggernaut with solid snare drum punches that are followed by a pounding bass kick that lets the cymbal crashes rain down on us. The growling vocals are oozing from the off as they combine with the shredding power drenched guitar riffs that really let this track shine, the pulsing bassline is wrapping itself around the arrangement as it gives us a real grooving tone that just allows this track to open and soar. The killer backing vocals are really pushing this track towards the front as this rousing monster builds and builds as we feel the energy, attitude and depth really kick in the doors and let us feel the boys as they return to their sizzling best.
