Joanne Shaw Taylor is a singer / Guitarist / songwriter from Wednesbury, West Midlands, UK who has been bringing her infectious brand of Americana / Blues since 2002. Joanne was discovered by Dave Stewart(Eurythmics Fame) at aged just 16, Joanne has won Best Female Vocalist @ British Blues Awards 2010, 2011 & Songwriter Of The Year.

Joanne has given us White Sugar in 2009, Diamonds In The Dirt in 2010, Almost Always Never in 2012, Songs From The Road in 2013, The Dirty Truth in 2014, Wild in 2016, Reckless Heart in 2019, Reckless Blues EP in 2020, The Blues Album in 2021, Blues From The Heart Live in 2022, Nobody’s Fool in 2022, Sweet Little Lies in 2023. Joanne  released her new album Heavy Soul on June 7th and brought us the blistering single  Devil In Me and follows that up with the stunning new single Hold Of My Heart Ft Sav Madigan, from all – female Indie / Rock / Roots band The Accidentals,  please sit back as I take us through this awesome new track.

Hold Of My Heart – The track comes at us with a cool deep bass kick that welcomes slide guitar licks that just set the scene for this blues explosion that is about to hit us from all sides. The soothing violin tones just elevate this fantastic arrangement as we feel the energy pulsing from this fantastic artist as she brings her soulful / bluesy vocals that just get this groover off the ground, the chemistry is just infectious as we feel the depth from Joanne as she just gives us a real blues / country composition that lets us grab our partner and lead her round the dancefloor of this hoe down piece that just lets us tap our toes to this cool piece of music. The Hammond keys are just insane as they deliver a real blues hit that just carries this track all the way as the infectious groove just grabs a hold of us and lets the track build with it’s sludgy riffs that are twinned with cool acoustic strumming notes that instantly catch our attention as the snare drum beats flow freely through this fantastic number that really lets Joanne cut loose and hit us with her colossal fingerwork.
