Marcus Trummer is a blues / soul / rock musician from Calgary, Alberta, Canada who marries modern sensibilities and traditional style. 2019 was the year Marcus received the the Prophets Of Music Emerging Artist Award and followed that with Blues Recording Of The Year in 2022, he also snagged a nomination for New Artist Of The Year @ Maple Blues Awards in Toronto.

2023 sees him travel to Colorado to perform as a finalist in the Telluride Blues Challenge which he went onto win, November 15th sees Marcus bring us his debut album From The Start and todat he drops the second offering in the form of Waiting For Change, please join me as I walk you through this phenomenal new track.

Waiting For Change – The track opens with a full on bassline that drops colossal dark, melodic, smooth grooves that really grab your attention from the outset. The rhythm section comes in with a solid snare drum punch that welcomes bass kicks and finishes off with cool cymbal snaps that just allows this track to grow, the soulful vocals are just letting us feel the energy, drive and older in years vocals that wrap themselves around this incredible single. The brass section adds depth, punch and bags of swagger to this already mesmerising piece of music that allows us to drift off and feel the blues come in and really let this soulful musician really lay himself bare. The cool organ tones are littered throughout this toe tapping tune that just tells us that this young guy is ready to thrill and then some.
