Qarinah are metal duo Miss Randall & Waldemar Sorychta who are established singer / drummer and multi producer with many accoldes under their belts. Miss Randall is part of Rusty Eye from Los Angeles & Waldemar is a producer with 3 gold records and 148 credits to his name this is due to his work with Century Media Label bands Tiamat, Lacuna Coil, Moonspell, Samael, The Gathering & many more. Miss Randell & Waldermar met @ Graspop in the late 2000’s and their work flourished into a collaboration, today they release the dark, brooding,crunching beast that is Not For Sale which I will be reviewing for you today.
Not For Sale – Kicking things off are a heavy pounding rhythm section that comes at us with a snare drum punch that brings in the deep bass kicks that let the cymbal crashes rain down on us as this foot stomping monster unleashes the beast. The rasping guitar riffs are wandering freely through this dark, brooding colossus as the whole arrangement just pops as Miss Randall lends her soothing vocals that just wrap themselves around this hard hitting deep groover. The musicality is just oozing from this enigmatic duo as their chemistry just rises to the surface as we feel the gritty riffs mix so well with the thundering rhythm section that is commanding the groove from the getgo, this is one of those tracks that just have you punching the air to the dark beat that is brought together by this killer duo that mixes depth, attitude and bags and bags of swagger that comes with the LA infused sound that is hitting us from all sides. This is one of those tracks that will have you reaching for the repeat button as the tone just wraps itself around from the moment you set your sights on this beast of a track.
