The Black Vultures are back, and with their fourth single, “Can’t Let You Go,” they prove once again why they’re a force to be reckoned with in the alt-rock scene. This emotionally charged track weaves themes of heartbreak, inner conflict, and resilience, delivering a powerful message wrapped in their signature blend of raw guitar riffs and soulful vocals.

Lyrically, “Can’t Let You Go” captures the turmoil of struggling. The opening lines—“So I’m thinking, it’s going to take a little time to, deliberate and decide what’s best for me”—immediately draw the listener into the singer’s inner conflict. It’s a battle between longing and self-preservation, encapsulated in verses that reflect deep introspection.
The chorus, anchored by the lines “And I feel it, rolling over / And I just can’t let you go” resonates with anyone who’s grappled with the push and pull of emotions after a breakup. The repeated “Woah oh oh oh” adds a sense of desperation that grows with each verse, making it clear that the emotional stakes are high. The vocals surge with passion, reflecting the internal struggle of letting go when part of you still clings to hope. With this single, The Black Vultures continue to showcase their ability to blend introspective lyricism with explosive musicality. “Can’t Let You Go” is a gripping track that resonates deeply, making it a must-listen for fans of heartfelt rock anthems.

Can’t Let You Go’ – was written by Huw & Aled when their previous bassist Mitch Casey was going through an absolute rollercoaster range of emotions, due to his Mum being diagnosed with Cancer. “Mitch sent messages in our band chat and some of the things really resonated at that time and it felt right to get it on to paper and make a song as a show of support for Mitch and his Mum, therefore ‘Can’t Let You Go’ was born” says Huw Williams – Lead singer of The Black Vultures. “Cancer affects so many people, either those who haven’t made it, those who are going through it or those who have survived it – so it only felt right, to release this for anyone struggling with their physical and mental health at this time. This song is really powerful and personal, so we hope that people listen to the lyrics and appreciate the extra personal meaning behind the song when listening”.
