Brazilian/Canadian guitarist presents “On The Road,” another track from his new upcoming album “Tales of a Changing Life Part 2.”
Rod Rodrigues is set to release his new album “Tales of a Changing Life Part 2” on October 18. He introduces the single and video for “On The Road.” “This song is very special to me because I made it in honor of my father, who was a taxi driver and was always on the road.“‘On The Road’ has a great positive energy, and I created it to enjoy during a high-speed journey.” he shares.
The track features Heitor Tenorio (bass), Rodrigo Abelha (drums), Orlan Charles (keys and piano), and Rodrigo Sperandio alongside Rod. “In addition to the strong influences of Rush and Van Halen, I wanted to add something special from our culture with the Brazilian country guitar played by Rodrigo Sperandio,” he adds.
The album “Tales of a Changing Life Part 2,” produced by Rod Rodrigues, was mixed by Renato Osório and mastered by Kris Crummett (Nick Johnston, Issues, Sleeping With Sirens).

About Rod Rodrigues:
Rod Rodrigues graduated from IG&T and Claretiano University. He has been teaching since 1997 in Brazil, Canada, and Europe. His e-book “Guitar Shred” (2016) was published in Portuguese and English. In 2018, he launched his online training program, Extreme Guitar Workout, which has hundreds of students worldwide. He has also played in guitar clinics alongside names like Kiko Loureiro (ex- Megadeth)and Rafael Bittencourt (Angra).
Rod has played in various bands, including Enemies Of Reality, Falling Into a Dream (Dream Theater Tribute), and Electra. As a solo artist, he released his first EP, “The First Step: Introduction,” in 2010, which received praise from Guitar Player, Cover Guitarra, Guitarload magazines and other websites. In 2019, he returned to his solo instrumental project with the single “T.A.G.” He also contributed the song “Changing Plans” to the compilation “Volasophy,” featuring all the Latin artists from Vola Guitars. In 2022, he released the EP “Tales of a Changing Life Part 1,” the first part of a conceptual story about his life changes.
