Review By Darren McIntyre
Sine is the brainchild of New York based drummer / multi – instrumentalist Rona Rougeheart, from an early age Rona was taught by her father to play keys & guitar before deciding to take up the drums. Sine was playing in multiple Austin – based bands where she earned an endorsement from the likes of Gretsch & Roland respectively, Sine drops her infectious new offering Trauma Bondage which I will be reviewing for you today.
Trauma Bondage – A cool pulsing dark groove opens the track as the punching bass kicks let this track open and soar as we get sampler tones and cymbal snaps that really grab your attention. The sweet mellow guitar picks are wrapping themselves around this oozing well balanced arrangement as Sine brings in her oozing vocals that just let the track build as we feel the killer pulsing tones wrap themselves around us and really let the track breathe, we are feeling the depth of the track as the cool punchy beats flow effortlessly through this electro – filled fist pumping beat that really delivers. The smooth vocals are just taking this track to another place as we just lose ourselves in the dark depths of this soulful melodic number.
