Hello Enemy – Hit Or Miss – Single Review – bjfmedia

Review By Darren McIntyre

Hello Enemy are a Grunge / Alt Rock outfit from Adelaide, Australia who take their influences from the likes of Helmet, The Mark Of Cain, Alice In Chains, Turnstile, Nirvana & Muse. The boys began life as a foot stomping 5 – piece but with some thinking decided to trim themselves into a cool groove – grunge trio and bring us their ultra toe tapping new single Hit Or Miss which I will  be reviewing for you today.

Hit Or Miss – The track opens with a cool grungy riff that welcomes a punchy rhythm section that lets this killer track leave it’s mark as the boys kick in the doors and let us have it. There is a real darkness to this shredding power drenched piece that is Nirvana – esque in parts which is a tip of the hat for sure, we get a cool deep bassline that wraps itself around these towering grooves as the soaring vocals bring the track together with ease. The tempo drops a little as we get cymbal snaps that bring in a hard edged bass kick that really lets this track cut loose as the boys just come together and really sock it to us with their dark, groove that just builds and builds as the boys get us on our feet as we fist pump and stamp our feet all the way to the end.
