Review By Darren McIntyre
Skam are a 3 piece rock outfit from Leicester and have been delivering no nonsense classic British rock n roll since 2011, the have delivered to us albums such as It’s Come To This in 2011, Peacemaker in 2013 and The Amazing Memoirs Of Geoffrey Goddard in 2017.
They have given us Intra which brought us a couple of singles and they have been busy writing and recording their new album From The Depths slated for release 29th November, from that record comes their blistering new single Rising Fever which I will be reviewing for you today, please sit back and relax and get ready for your mind to be blown.
Rising Fever – A crunching guitar riff erupts from the off as the thundering rhythm section makes itself known to us as we feel the energy kicking in the doors. The gravelly vocals are soaring as this monster track comes to life with a thundering groove that is instantly recogniseable as Steve, Matt & Neal deliver a killer track that is just awesome, the cool, dark funking bassline is dropping sweet melodic grooves that just allow this track to soar. The slick, classy guitar solo is bending your ear as the powering riffs just flow effortlessly through the whole arrangement as the boys make a triumphant return with a monster track that just punches you straight in the face with it’s raw, intense swagger that is solid and delivers on all levels with a gritty powerful edgy tone, the boys are on tour so do yourself a favour a catch them whereever you can as I promise you won’t be disappointed.
