Joanne was discovered by Dave Stewart(Eurythmics Fame) at aged just 16, Joanne has won Best Female Vocalist @ British Blues Awards 2010, 2011 & Songwriter Of The Year. Joanne has given us White Sugar in 2009, Diamonds In The Dirt in 2010, Almost Always Never in 2012, Songs From The Road in 2013, The Dirty Truth in 2014, Wild in 2016, Reckless Heart in 2019, Reckless Blues EP in 2020, The Blues Album in 2021, Blues From The Heart Live in 2022, Nobody’s Fool in 2022, Sweet Little Lies in 2023 and will release her new album Heavy Soul on June 7th. Joanne has already given us the fantastic single Devil In Me and follows that with the sweet melodic All The Things I Said which I will be bringing you today.
All The Things I Said – The track comes to life with a cool sweet guitar pick that is followed by a meaty rhythm section that lets the snare drum beats give this arrangement some depth. The cool keys are really letting this track breathe as Joanne comes in with her mellow, gravelly toned vocals that really bring this track to our attention, funking basslines allow this killer track to hit us with a cool groove that has our toes tapping as we really get into this country / blues laden number that grabs our attention as we drift along with this real thigh slapping blues drenched number that has us grabbing our partner and swirling her around the dancefloor. The whole piece is a well crafted punchy gravel voiced track that just keeps building with it’s catchy grooves, melodic vocals and sweet keys that just let the groove grab us and let us feel the blues flow effortlessly through the whole composition.
