Joanne has already given us the fantastic single Devil In Me, All The Things I Said and follows that with a deeply personal offering in the form of Who’s Gonna Love Me Now which I will be reviewing for you today.
Who’s Gonna Love Me Now – We get a sweet cool drum groove that has cymbal snaps that allow the track to flow as cool synth tones linger in the background as the track slowly comes to life. Joanne’s soulful melodic vocals really let the track breathe as we get slick, sweet guitar licks that really take this track to another place and allow us to feel the depth, emotion oozing from this Americana / Blues songstress as she lays herself bare in this fantastic arrangement. Guitar solo flows through the mid section as Joanne really takes the tempo up a notch as we allow ourselves to be taken on the journey and really get inside the lyrics that are controlling this powerful, thought provoking piece as Joanne cuts loose and brings us mellow guitar licks that just make this track sing.
