Single – Burn Brighter

Release Date – 29th November 24

Review by Linda McDermott

For The Forsaken (previously known as ‘The Forsaken’) have a brand-new track ready for release on the 29th of November and it’s a cracker!

Founded in Cambridgeshire by bassist and lead singer Dan, they are a four-piece hard rock band with an emotional story to tell.

Dan Hunsdon – Vocals/Bass
Jack Hunsdon – Guitar/Vocals
Stu Isteed – Guitar
Chev (Adam Cheverton) – Drums

Emerging as a powerhouse in the heavy rock scene, the band continues to build momentum with the release of their third single. Known for their angst-driven sound, this latest track reaffirms their ability to channel raw emotion into music and because of this they have my attention. I thoroughly recommend their first two singles, ‘Pain’ and ‘Serenity’ to get a feel for their music. With Dan’s distinct gritty vocals leading the charge, the song blends a grungy tone with an unrelenting energy that has me from the first note.

True to the themes of their previous releases, the lyrics are steeped in catharsis, reflecting turbulent experiences and emotion that inspired their creation. The band’s ability to turn personal struggle into something universally relatable is a testament to their authenticity and artistic vision. Their music is more than just a heavy weighted sound, it’s an experience that is powerful with deep meaning.

Dan Hunsdon, the frontman and bass player with the band says, “Burn Brighter” was written to tell people that there is a power within all of us to turn even the most difficult situations around, with myself being proof of that. It shows that light can be found, even in the darkest of times.”

This new track showcases their evolution, while staying true to their signature style, demonstrating their knack for crafting exceptional, hard-hitting songs. The combination of the vocals, grungy riffs, and heavy rhythms highlight the group’s tight musicianship and chemistry.

As they carve their path in the rock world, this single is a statement of purpose, it’s a fierce, unapologetic reminder of their talent and drive. Fans will undoubtedly connect with its emotional intensity, solidifying For The Forsaken’s reputation as ones to watch. Whether you’re drawn to their sound for its raw energy, heartfelt lyrics, or captivating vocals, this latest release delivers everything you’d hope for and more.

Already getting traction from their energetic shows, For The Forsaken have recently secured a support slot with Loz Campbell and recently played along side The Hot One Two.

With an exciting future planned, the band are already growing their fanbase and recording more material with plans for a UK tour. Watch out for show announcements as they will be ones not to be missed. I suggest supporting the guys on their socials to keep up to date with when they are.
