DELLA NOVA’s self-titled debut album, set for release on December 13, 2024, is a raw and ambitious collection that captures the heart of contemporary rock while drawing deeply from its roots. Born out of the chaos and introspection of the early lockdowns, this album is the brainchild of Alex Bowmer, whose unique vision has transformed a converted church-warehouse into a breeding ground for innovative soundscapes and colossal riffs.

The name DELLA NOVA, a nod to the mystical “Ordine Della Nova” secret order, perfectly encapsulates the band’s blend of grit and mystery. Bowmer’s vocals and guitar work, paired with Joe Chauncy’s commanding basslines and Adam Szabo’s thunderous drumming, craft a sound that’s simultaneously nostalgic and refreshing.

From the opening track, Wachasay, to the atmospheric closer, Welcome Home, the album is a sonic journey through Alex’s life experiences—love, heartbreak, disillusionment, and even psychedelic misadventures. Tracks like Stand Up and Rise With The Wind showcase their ability to pair politically charged lyrics with explosive energy, while pieces like Astral and On The Blue offer a dreamier, introspective vibe.

The inclusion of ex-drummer Karl Hall on the recordings adds a poignant layer of history to the project, tying the band’s past to its future. The meticulous production, helmed by Bowmer and sound engineer Ben Jeffes, ensures every note hits with precision and power.
